I learned this tune in 1972 from an old accordionist who was my downstairs neighbour in Edinburgh. I don’t know its origins. Maybe someone can help place it. As I recall, the ‘Dutchess’ was an engine, rather than a person, which might explain the bright, skipping rhythm of the tune.

A wrong note - sorry

When the sheet music came up, I noticed I had made an error in the very first bar - an ‘e’ and a ‘d’ in the wrong order. I’ve corrected in in the ABC.
