Composer of this piece
The composer of this wonderful reel is Paddy Davey of Belfast. I was taught it by a good friend of his, Martin Shane. Paddy wrote this tune in The Old Rectory, Glencolmcille, County Donegal in 1995.
The following is the abc as it was taught to me.

Quick notes about MAGPIEKATE’s setting
1) |d(3e/d/c/ec dAAA| (measure 5) can also be used as the first measure of the repeat of the A section.
2) Everything after the second ending…is part of the second ending. I’m just not a good enough programmer to extend the bracket over all those measures.
3) This song sounds amazing when the whole sheebang is repeated. An example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kj6CiT1ldQ (This video is where I learned this song).
Play the E minor setting on a C whistle and you will be playing in D minor.
