The Toss Pot

This is from MACDARA Ó RAGHALLAIGH’s long awaited cd, entitled ‘Ego Trip’.

http://cdbaby.com/cd/macdaraoraghallaigh

This is what he says about it in the sleeve notes:-

"The Toss Pot (what a great name) will always be associated with the playing of the legendary Brendan McGlinchey. It lodged in my head when Joe Toolin from Dublin used to make a great job of it at fleadhs in days of yore."

I’ve tried to make the notation as straight as possible without losing too much of the way he’s played it.

So it is

Well spotted Dr Dow. I thought it must be an assumed name. Oh well…

Re: The Toss Pot

I think it’s The Toss Pot that appears as The Queen of the West in Ryan’s Mammoth Collection,,,I have Cole’s 1000 Fiddle Tunes(later edition of the same), and I know it’s in there.
