I found this in Breathnach Vol.2 He tells us that it comes from the playing of Tommy Hunt of Sligo.
By the way, it’s a good tune for practicing turns in low E on the flute (getting that damned little pinkie to come up and down at the right time!) Great stuff for struggling flautists, like meself.
