Yet another tune from Jock Tamson’s Bairns first album. This tune was popular in Edinburgh in the 1980’s but I don’t tend to hear it much now

This appears in the Simon Fraser collection. I remember Sprangeen (Patsy Seddon, Mary Macmaster et al) used to play it.

Yes I remember Sprangeen as well. Indeed I can remember the close association between the two groups, with a number of members of the all-female Sprangeen going out with members of the all-male Jock Tamson’s.
