KAN tune

Another tune from great band, KAN. I’m not sure who wrote it, I assume Brian Finnegan.

I’ve had the ABC’s sitting on my computer for a bit, and figured I’d post them finally. Played in a set with Aidan O’Rourke’s tune “Noble”

Sound clip on their soundcloud page:

Also, on 422’s album “Go Forth.” Still don’t know who wrote it, perhaps Ian or one of the other members of 422?

Fabulous tune, in best neo trad sort of way.

Reminds me of tunes by

the great Canadian tune composer, Brian Pickell.

Big Al’s birthday

Ian Stephenson wrote it for Al’s birthday.

Re: You Can Call Me Big Al

It’s a nice tune, but before I listened to it I had thought it might have had something to do with the Paul Simon song “You Can Call Me Al”
