Double Lead Through

The tune that is used for the dance of the same name.

Although 32 bars in length, the structure of the tune is somewhat unusual, so it is difficult to find a suitable tune to set with it - (bearing in mind that it would have fit in with the movements of the dancers).

Some tunes sit equally well in a dance or a session situation. This tune isn’t one of them. Apart from playing the tune for the dance in question, there is probably no other situation where you would be likely to play it.

Contra dancing

This used to be one of the more popular contra dance tunes Yeeeeears ago…I love it!~ Great ‘all up/down the center and back’ tune.
