“Jingle Bells” ~ I don’t believe it!!! :-/
I can’t believe it isn’t here already, or that I hadn’t added it ages back. I’m shaking my head over this one. We ALWAYS played this for our ‘Winter Solstice and Christmas Shebangs’, as I’m sure some of you also do. So, if you’ve a different take on this ditty, please share it with us all…
Resorting to the old standard -
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year - or may these at least be more than just surviving, with lots of music and dance, and for those of you not yet into both ends of the majority of this music, meaning dance, may you get the urge and the hoopspa to give it a go - in the right spirit of it all, the ‘Merry’ bit in the wish… ;-)
The original can be heard here:
Have a good one, Ceol.
For those dear folks out there who I was doing some work for, musically, our computer is still not fully functional, but it will happen… Also, it has been hard times here, the losses of family and friends dear to us… That’s in part why I haven’t finished work on this old desktop… I haven’t forgotten, the guilt won’t let me. :-/
As always, thanks Weejie, appreciated…
:-/ :-) :-d
Only just home and I’ve put the dinner on and just sat down and clicked on your link without adjusting the volume - for ‘the original’… I love it…
Great tune. I didn’t realise it was known outside Montgomeryshire.
Copied from Wikipedia:
"It was written by James Lord Pierpont (1822–1893) and published under the title "One Horse Open Sleigh" in the autumn of 1857"
Yes, I’ll have to do an ABC of Weejie’s link to add here…
They did it my way….
:-D Yes! Johnny now does commercials for butter on the tele and loves his bit of crumpet…
