Clancy’s Fancy

Found this one in The Fiddler’s Companion-

CLANCY’S FANCY REEL (Cor Mic Flanncada). Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning. AB. Not McNulty’s "Clancy’s Reel." Source for notated version: accordion player Joe Fallon (b. 1935, Collooney, County Sligo) [Flaherty]. Flaherty (Trip to Sligo), 1990; pgs. 100-101 (appears as “Unknown”). O’Neill (Dance Music of Ireland: 1001 Gems), 1907/1986; No. 801, pg. 139.

I’m more familiar with a version from Paul McGlinchey’s "The Boys on the Town"-

Thanks to Paul for taking a few minutes from his 8 year old daughter to send notes for this transcription.

(I thought he gave me her accordion notes at first!)

Thanks indeed!

Clancy’s Fancy, X:2

a great version from Daithí Gormley on his album: "Fiddling without a Bow"

Re: Clancy’s Fancy

Not sure those two are the same tune…
