I have a thing about 3-part jigs, which fit certain dances just right… 😎

“Dick Sullivan’s Favourite/Favorite” / “The Spotted Cow” - two three part jigs

Mentioned in the comments for the submission just before this,

“The Spotted Cow”
Submitted on April 2nd 2012 by David Levine.

- as “another lovely 3-part jig” which is paried up so, track 5 on the following recording:

“Peter Horan & Gerry Harrington: The Merry Love To Play”

Re: Dick Sullivan’s Favourite

Just noticed a very strong similarity to “Light and Airy” (https://thesession.org/tunes/3563); the third part here is very nearly the first part there, the harmonic structure matches, and the rocking sixths in the second to last bar of each part are the same as well.
