Discussion: Thought for the day

And where this all began for me, under the guidance of dear Prof. Prlwytzkofski…

Surely Mark Twain and Groucho must have also had something to say about this, along with the already quoted Charles Darwin, Bertrand Russell, Frank Zappa, and dear old Anonymous… (see discussion)

In case it wasn’t clear, this was drummed up, in the kitchen again, to generate more quotes, hoping some others will have more to add on the subject here…

Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea culpa!!! :-/

This curiosity came about while reading up on the subject and farting around with octave playing, a favourite, and various interval jumps including octave jumps. Note the proof by their presence in this little study, especially E & e / F & f / A & a, and then there’s that horrid large jump from E to g just to aggravate myself and others, but with the option to soften it by playing an A instead of an E…

Still no additional quotes, and sadly I haven’t any Mark Twain or Groucho here to see if I could find something appropriate… :-(

The other joy I have with this is the possibilities between those repeating ds - what fun! ;-) ~

I always suspected you were an eejit. Now I’m sure of it.

:-D It’s much more fun when folks don’t take you too seriously gam. The other mayhem I had with this one was running those ds together and playing around with syncopation. Why? Well, I was playing through a load of Cape Breton jigs, looking for some work on octave jumps, and this damned thing came out and took hold. I was having so much fun, hesitant about adding it here, but having been directed by the discussion of EB’s, by the Prof, to read up on the topic, I just wanted to give the subject more play, and as I was stuck into this crazy thing - it got named and I foolishly added it here. Glad you liked it. :-D
