Bridgie Con Mat’s

This polka was transcribed from the playing of Brendan Begley on the Boys of the Lough’s album ‘Twenty’ (2005). Begley learned it from Sliabh Luachra accordionist Johnny O’Leary. The subject of the title was the sister of legendary fiddler Denis Murphy, who taught the tune to O’Leary.

I would have sworn this one was already here. Musn’t take such things for granted. A nice and welcomed addition Nigel… I’ll have to see if I know a significantly different way with it, or check over my recordings. Thanks!
