Lonesome Eyes - C: Jerry Holland

This beautiful tune came from the playing of Graham Mackenzie, who I saw on the BBC Radio Scotland Young Musician awards the other night.

You can hear him play it exceedingly well here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1TvJyWV0Bo

Great playing by a truly gifted young man.

I know…I said so the moment I posted it 2 years ago…

Re: Lonesome Eyes

Saw Jerry himself play it at Celtic Connections - his last appearance there before he died. I missed the name of the tune, but remember him saying he had composed it for his son. An enquiry on another forum got me the name of it. Beautiful tune!
