The Four Seasons

I learnt this tune back in the 1980s from a fiddler, the late Barry Morgan. I gather that his version of it was based on a tune in the Joshua Jackson MS.

I’ve transcribed it as D-Major albeit that the second sharp is superfluous. It’s actually D-Hexatonic - (no seventh).

Given the title of it, it seems a pity that it only has three parts, not four!

You’ve got my brow wrinkling. I know this, but I can’t for the life of me remember where from. I’ll have to spend time with in and see if I can wake up more of the differences I find my own memory of it is pulling me toward. But the brow remains wrinkled, however, some of that is now permanent anyway. 😏 😉 I agree, where’s the 4th season?

Having had some fun and some time with it, not looking for it anywhere else, just playing it, here’s a different take on it under the influence of sunshine and cold, and a 4th part that just happened, with a second ending. 😉
