O’Connor’s Favourite

Transposed by myself from the CD "If Ida been here, Ida been there" recorded by Craobh Rua in 2000.
I saw the group recently celebrating Patricks Night at Preama Arts, Uley (nr. Dursley) Gloucestershire.
The line up on the CD is: Brian Connolly (tenor banjo & mandolin) Michael Cassidy (fiddles)
Patrick Davey (uilleann pipes, flutes & whistles) Aaron Jones (cittern, guitar & vocals). Their guest musician was Ray Gallen (bodhran on tracks 1, 7, 9, 10, 13).
As far as I understand Brian Connolly was the only member of that lineup playing at Uley. A good evening was had by all. Plenty of rapour from all mem bers of the band that evening.

O’Connor’s Favourite

This is a nice one, hetty! It’s also in O’Neill’s 1850, whose setting I just added.
(He has it undotted this time, so I transcribed it faithfully…
I actually prefer my dots dotted though.) 🙂
