Second tune on track 3 of the CD recorded in 2000 by Craobh Rua which I bought recently at a gig by the band celebrating Patrick’s Day at Praema Arts, Uley (nr. Dursley) Gloucestershire.
The track is named ‘The Junction Set’ . I would love to know what prompted the title. I’m hazarding a guess that it may have something to do with canals.
Transcribed by myself. The ‘B’ music is not repeated on the recording in case anyone thinks I’ve omitted the repeat marks.
There is a railway station called “Norwood Junction” - near Croydon (England).
Could it be that? It doesn’t sound much of an inspiration for a tune title though …
Looking a some of the other titles on the CD I’m inclined now to think Railway NOT canal. At the moment, Mix, your suggestion has to stand unless we get other offers.
Composed by Patrick Davey, of Craobh Rua.
