"The Sliabh Bloom March" C: Seán Ryan

A little nod of appreciation for bow master Seán Ryan, first simplified but based on his way with it, and then more of his way with it, raising the rhythmic interest in the way marches can and do. I’ll add something for the D-limited later. There are a lot of fine joyous dances that go well with a march like this. Also, this is for member gael northey ( ) & her gang of bow swingers, "The Donegal Fiddlers’ Orchestra" of Norwood, Ontario, Canada:

Fo another transcription from the 2nd collection of his compositions "Seán Ryan Dream" - compiled by his son Brian Ryan - & more, courtesy of Paul Cranford:

A double CD of digitally remastered recordings - 51 Tracks on 2 CDs ~ "Most of these lovely solo fiddle tracks were recorded in the kitchen of Seán’s home… a natual and intimate setting which captures Seán as no studio could."

From the notes of this recording: The Sliabh Bloom March (Recorded Feb 1967) ~ This March was played by "The Seán Ryan Ce’ili’ Band". This band was placed 3rd in the All Ireland Band Competition of 1963 having lost by 1/4 of a mark.
