Three comments

The Raven’s Rock

First tune on the track of the same name on Lunasa’s album ‘La Nua’. Not sure who composed it. Have transposed into Dmajor because like the following tune I think it is played as though in this key on a low F whistle (or several), thus making it in Fmajor originally.

The composer (according the the info in the CD) is Cillian Vallely. This tune is one of my favourites, and is even more amazing when performed live!

FYI, I just had a class with Cillian and he said that the second setting listed here (katiska’s) is the most like the way he plays it.
