Three comments

Paresis

This is another weirdly-titled tune from “Harding’s 200”. It sounds to me very close to a number of other tunes (e.g. “Eileen Curran”) so there’s doubtless a “real” name for it out there somewhere!

This tune is often played right after Tullochgorum (with the variations) down in Cape Breton, and seems to be quite well known in Cape Breton.

Re: Paresis

This same reel (but in C / Am) is included in the Robbins Collection, #40, of 200 Reels, Jigs and Country Dances, apparently published in NY in 1933. I’m wondering if this collection is related to Hardings earlier collection of 200?
