This was not composed by Josie McDermott, at least according to the sleeve notes accompanying his "Darby’s Farewell" CD.

You’re welcome. Your transcription is as near as makes no difference to what Josie plays on the recording, but I have to say that this looks very much to me to be a setting of "Down The Broom" - it’s about 90% the same .
