Tom Dey

A J. Scott Skinner tune, not heard much outside of Cape Breton it seems. It was printed “in 1957 in The Scottish Music Maker, a handwritten compilation of the music J. Scott Skinner assembled by J. Murdoch Henderson.” Thus one of his stray tunes not featured in the collections printed in his lifetime . Some of these are quite attractive melodies, like this one. In fact a roundup of Skinner’s Remainders would be most welcome, albeit the ones I’m thinking of have been featured in collections over the years like the Holland or Fitzgerald books anyway.
