Port Na Giobóige

Séamus Ennis collected this from singer Colm Ó Caoidheáin in the 1940s; Colm was also his source for the popular piping slip jig the Dusty Miller. On Joe Heaney’s record Nár Fhagha Mé Bás Choíche he sings this, chats with Séamus about the tune, then Séamus plays it on the pipes for good measure. Its title translates roughly as the "Tune of the Silly Woman." In more recent times piper Emmett Gill recorded it, too.
