“Annwyl Ioan” / “Dear John/Jon” ~ something for a friend
Discussing life’s challenges this popped in one night as the A-part, around 2 a.m., and after enjoying a lovely single malt, Ardbeg, unfiltered, Islay ~ mmmmmmmmm! It was a Christmas gift. Anyway, not sure of it, so full of places to treble or roll, I quickly scribbled it down on some scrap paper. As the trial of life grew the second part just fell into place, with few changes to both. I was playing it quite relaxed though, or, in truth, as it came, lilting it. Why I’d lilt a reel and a relatively jolly melody while contemplating the trials and tribulations of a friend, I haven’t a clue ~ light in the darkness? Anyway, I did hesitate about adding it, but here it is, trebbled to the nth degree. I find it jolly and fun, and I’ve given a few options in the mix, those so-called intervals where you can choose to go up or down. I hope someone at least has as much fun with it as I’ve had. This one is for Ioan/John/Jon, wishing you the strength and love needed to make the best of your recent difficulties.
A friend in the digital quagmire ~ ‘c’ ;-)
