Da Bush Below Da Gairden
This setting is from Capercaillie’s fist album ‘Cascade’ (1984). It’s a traditional Shetland reel from the Tingwall district, not far from Lerwick.
Behind the bush in the garding
This is clearly related to a reel in the George Sanders of Ryton (in the Tyne valley) manuscript of 1758 entitled behind the Bush in the Garding.
The manuscript is in Beamish Museum.
