This was the tune James Morrison played after If We Hadn’t Any Women in the World, as he titled it: https://archive.org/details/JamesMorrisonIfWeHadntAnyWomenintheWorldTheBerrefoyBarndance His student Paddy Killoran recorded the same pair of tunes, but in reverse order. On CD1 of The Sligo Champion Michael Gorman simply titled this "Gannon’s." As there’s a score of "Gannon’s" or "James Gannon’s" etc titles out there already I slapped Morrison’s nickname on this one. He was called that owing to his rather formidable intellect, being a Gaelic League schoolteacher in his youth, an music instructor with no end of students in later days, and also a hobby of studying up on exams for all sorts of topics to become an official licensed _____, which he would inevitably pass, and then go back to playing and teaching music.
"The Professor" was also the name of the Morrison 2 cassette tape release on Viva Voce, which is badly in need of being reissued.
