Delvin Side

The second setting above - a strathspey - is from Gow’s 1st Repository (1799) and I offer it because it is markedly different from DetlefS’s setting.

Delvinside - Highland

Oirialla got the tune from Luke Donnellan’s Collection Dance Music of Oriel (1909). In the liner notes to the set they call the tune types "Highland and Reels", so I guess, this tune is the highland. It’s interesting to see, how a tune changes over time and in different areas.

A simple setting in A mix

Re: Delvinside

This tune is played by Bagpiper Donald MacPherson so it is a Highland tune.
