A nice jig from a nice album
It is not the same Finbar Dwyer’s submitted by Will.
Find a different version here, with the parts in a different order https://thesession.org/tunes/2055
Return to Burton Road
This jig was written by multi instrumentalist, Richard Dwyer. He called it "Return to Burton Road" and recorded it under that name. Larry Egan also told me this, who received it from the composer.
Incorrect tune assignment
Why would the first set of tunes on the album go from a reel into a jig? This is not the tune on the album. The tune on the album is a Finbar O’Dwyers REEL. Here’s the link:
" …on THE album" - which album are you referring to ? Gian Marco posted the tune above from the "Calua" CD. Are you saying he’s wrong ? because that would be very unusual, and I can check.
Re: Finbar Dwyer’s
Called Return To Burton Road on Richie’s Creative Mood album. Both Richie and Finbarr play the parts in the order given at https://thesession.org/tunes/2055 so we can safely assume that the order given here is…wrong…
Return to Burton Road X:2
This is the variation played by Brian McNamara and Tim Collins on their *Reed Only* album.
