Also known as Glenquey Reel, Pudding Maggie.
There is 1 recording of this tune.
Glenquey has been added to 8 tunebooks.
Learned and adapted from the playing of Kinnon and Betty Beaton from the Heart of Cape Breton Comp. Appears in Kerr’s 1st collection and in Bremner’s under the more colorful name of ‘Pudding Maggie’.
Driving reel with nice triplets in the A part. Helps to move things along with the bowing I’ve shown. For the B part, I like to do a short roll on the ‘B’ as shown above but the Athole Collection (and I think what I hear Kinnon doing through the din of dancers) is more like: |defg abaf|gefd eBBe| for that phrase. Been meaning to post this one for a while. I like playing it after Lady Mary Ramsay.
