Little Bird

A very beautiful tune written by Tim Edey in 2005 for Sharon Shannon as a birthday present,
and it’s absolutely NOT a hornpipe, I will call it an air. I Heard it with Kilfenora Céili Band.
I think it’s composed in F, but it’s much more easy in D with a capo on - (banjo)

Here’s the F version:

Alert….. ;-)

In the Fmaj version, the last four notes (cAcd) in the second last line of the tune should be [ AGFD ]
it is corrected in the Dmaj version…..sorry.

Little Bird, X:2

Here’s a version in G…

Little Bird, X:2

I’d call it a march myself, but there’s no march section…

Re: Little Bird

Lovely melody but I feel it is more suited to being an air

Re: Little Bird

I play this one in the key of F using a C whistle. Beautiful tune.
