Wilfred’s Fiddle

This jig was composed by Dan R. MacDonald, a Cape Breton fiddler. It is the third tune in a jig medley featured on the album Fiddle by the Cape Breton Symphony.

It is the first tune in the medley, and not the third.

Wilfred’s Fiddle

The tune was written for Wilfred Gillies, who was an early member of The Cape Breton Symphony. Other members have included Buddy McMaster (Natalie’s uncle) and the late Jerry Holland, among others.
