A tune that’s played at the Golden Guinea pub session, Bristol (UK).

Dorchester is the county town of Dorset - a county in the south of England. Dorchester was the setting for the fictitious town of "Casterbridge" in Hardy’s novel: "The Mayor of Casterbridge".

The Dorchester, X:2

A common version of this Hornpipe..found in Fiddlers Tune Book, and several other publications.I believe this is the version in Thomas Hardy’s grandfather’s tune books in Dorchester library, but I am not 100% sure.

Dorchester - not Dorsetshire
