The Hills Of Kaitoke

By Catherine Fraser.. This should be played like a slow reel..
Named after the beautiful Rimutaka Ranges that surround YMCA Camp Kaitoke, New Zealand, where the annual Southern Hemisphere International School of Scottish Fiddle is held

Lovely Tune.. Makes me smile when I hear it..

Re: The Hills Of Kaitoke

Just noticed: the tune is not in A, it’s in E. It’d sound pretty strange without any G#’s! Just for anyone’s information…

Re: The Hills Of Kaitoke

Oops. Yes the setting (as played by Talisk anyway) should be key of E, not A… but I meant to say missing the *D#* would make it sound strange! (sorry…)

Re: The Hills Of Kaitoke

Is X3 a machine transposed version of X1?

The key signature is just as wrong, and F#m is now E#m… What happened there, JACKB? An example of find/replace? 😉
