The Mermaid’s Song

This is the 1st tune of the 5th track of the Tannahill Weavers “The Mermaid’s Song” Album

It’s quite lovely, and is of course not really a waltz, but a slow air. I tried to
write out the rhythm as best I could, and its is close, but still not quite what they play.

Their harmony is quite good, and if it doesn’t appear here by someone else’s hand
then I’ll write that out also… One of these fine days 🙂

It apparently the melody of traditional song.
