a great reel from a great album!

Liz Carroll’s

I think, this is called “The Chandlier”.

Excusez my spelling… “The Chandelier”!

The Chandelier

What a great tune, and it is The Chandelier.

Liz Carroll’s Reel

Does anyone know of a sheet music source for this tune AS IT APPEARS ON “An Crann Carraige” by Martin O’Brien, track #12B? (The tune by this tile on the Sessions site is a different tune. )

Liz Carroll’s Version . . .

This is transcribed from Liz Carroll and John Doyle’s new CD “Double Play” . . . considerable less flute-friendly than the version post here . . .

The Chandelier is not a Ghost!

“The Ghost” is definitely not another name for “The Chandelier”.
This tune on “Lake Effect” was also composed by Liz, but it is a slow air-tune. Please correct this bullsh*t!

I was looking for tunes I really love and enjoy hearing and found this one. I picked my mandolin up and took a look at the notation for Liz Carol’s version and tried it.
I’m confused because me playing it is sounding nothing like the tune. I’ve heard this tune a hundred times or more and know how it goes. Maybe it’s all the fiddly diddly bits :P
Does anybody have a version of this tune on a plucked string instrument?

The Chandelier, X:4

This was on my list of tunes to learn from Liz Carrol’s version. I found it a bit different than the one I found here so I decided to post. This will take me a lot of work and imaginative ornamentation to make it work on my flute but I think it’s doable. I think I may have some confusion in the melody/double stops. I’ll edit it later if needed when I get a little further along.
