There are 2 recordings of this tune.
Forest Lodge has been added to 11 tunebooks.
Pipe reel taught by Seylan Baxter at a fiddle camp on Skye, summer 2015.
I found it later in the William Ross Collection at http://www.ceolsean.net. No composer was specified.
We have a piper at our session, and when we play this one it really gets everyone going. Pretty catchy tune.
The fourth note in the very last bar should be ‘c’ rather than ‘A’, was in |aAec B2 A||.
The Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles played this tune at their concert earlier tonight. Before that, they played Glentilt Lodge. They said Forest Lodge was composed a century after Glentilt Lodge. To me, the tunes sound very similar, as if Forest Lodge were a reel version.
