Sarah’s

By Max Houliston I believe. As you can see, it’s got a slightly non-standard structure of AABBCCA where the C section is half the length of the A or B sections, but it’s a lovely tune which goes well for a St Bernard’s or similar.

Correction

Yes it is by Max Houliston, but it is called ‘Sarah’.

Sarah’s, X:2

A lovely waltz, here as played in 2016 by Pete Clark from Dunkeld, Scotland at a week-long music camp at Rock Creek Lakes resort in the Eastern Sierras. Chord suggestions are my own.

Both Pete and “La Musica” hold the A note for the whole measure before resolving in the A part. Pete also plays around with the triplets in the B part. The C part is played for 32 bars, with some tempo changes before returning to the A part. I have notated the tag that Pete used to go out (the last 8 bars of the A part).
