X 1: “x”
C: ‘C’
K: originally in F (to follow?)
I’ve had this disappear on me once already. Here goes again…
This is for a friend, Jon Shea, and far jollier than the trials and tribulations associated with the ‘x’ he’s had to suffer. :-P This came after some sharing of woes, while listening to La Bottine Souriante. The melody is familiar, but I’m hoping I haven’t already submitted this or something similar. It reminds me of tunes we’ve played and/or danced to back on Cape Breton Island. Yes, it is rather ‘chromatic’, but what the hell, that means there’s loads of fun that can be had with it, as I’ve been doing here, in the key of ‘F’… ;-)
I just hope the neighbours don’t suddenly show up banging on the door…
Arrrgh! ~ and a bottle of rum!
X this, X that, and X marks the spot…
Re: X
Somehow, a recent notion, an X-jig should really be something else ~ like a waltz, a mazurka, a varsovienne ~ or ~ something 3/8, 5/8, 7/8, etc…? :-/ 8-)
X: 2 “x”
7/8! ;-)
