This version of the tune is taken from the Breabach CD "Bann", although it differs from the version recorded in the old tune collections, e.g. Atholle collection, in having the parts reversed. However Breabach’s version is how it is usually played in sessions now. I will also add in the older version

Meant to say what a great tune this is!
I think the first version is the way it’s played in Cape Breton, or at least the way fiddler Joe MacLean plays it in a mammoth set on his CD of re-issued recordings. The track in question, which lasts nearly ten minutes, is a house party recording from 1961, according to the album’s liner notes. Great tune!
