Bonnie Aboyne

A beautiful slow air composed by the great fiddler Peter Milne (1824-1908) rated by Scott Skinner as
“one of the finest native musicians that Scotland ever produced”. Aboyne is in Aberdeenshire on Deeside, very near where Milne was brought up. This setting is notated from the playing of the late fiddler Ron Gonnella, who recorded the tune in 1980.
