Notated from the playing of Scots fiddler Archie McAllister on his album "The Gathering Storm" (1996). I don’t know its origins, but it is found in somewhat Canada: Ken Perlman notated it from the playing of Emmett Hughes in Prince Edward Island, and it is in the Dunlay Collection of Cape Breton music, albeit with the parts reversed. Cape Breton fiddler Bill Lamey recorded it on his "Classic Recordings" album.
