I first came across this polka on the album "Béal Tuinne", a live recording from St James’ Church in Dingle, combining poems of the Gaeltacht writer Caoimhin Ó Cinnéide with tunes composed by Shaun Davey. It is a beautiful album featuring Séamus Begley, Shaun Davey, Rita Connolly, Éilís Kennedy, Dáithí Ó Sé, Jim Murray, Lawrence Courtney and Eoin Ó Beaglaoich.
Méabh Ní Bheaglaoich also plays this polka on her first album, "Cuisle". I like it because it’s a bit unusual.
