The Shores Of Lough Breda

Title track of the Album from Sheila Garry & Elaine Hogan
Another tune written by Paddy O’Donoghue. PO’D’s house overlooked Lough Breda (Brigid) at Ballinahinch near Tulla

Re: The Shores Of Lough Breda

My favourite album of last year - The Shores of Lough Breda - My CD is nearly played out!
A really good harpist played late last Friday night in Fawl’s in Ennis. When I enquired who she was, I was informed she was Elaine Hogan. Fantastic music!
The highlight of the Tradfest w/e for me was playing along for a few tunes with Elaine, although there were also some other v. v. good musicians there 🙂

Re: The Shores Of Lough Breda

I agree that her accompaniment is up there with the very best. And it is my current favourite album also

Re: The Shores Of Lough Breda

Great tune and CD. Does anyone have a transcription of the second tune in the set — The Woods of Ballinahinch?
