Tyrkky Polka

By Finnish musician Onni Rajaniemi. ‘Tyrkky’ in Finnish means to constantly try and put oneself in the spotlight or generally become well known through any means possible, often obnoxiously. Onni therefore named this tune the Tyrkky Polka as it’s his go to one for tune teaching. Here in Scotland, it’s just known as the Turkey Polka; that’s etymology for you.
