Yo Skippely Dai Dee Doe

This slide is played sometimes at the session in O’Ceallaigh’s in Groningen, the Netherlands. It’s also played by Dutch folk band Rapalje, who started at that session and presumable learned it there. I asked several musicians there and all agree that someone once learned it from some CD but nobody could recall who first learned it, from what CD or what it was originally called. It is suspected alcohol may have been involved.

I’m pretty sure this is already in the database, and in the Johnny O’Leary catalogue, but right now I can’t remember where I heard it.

Aha! That’s where it comes from then, thanks very much 🙂
