This transcription is from the 2016 album ‘Tirade’ by Eddie Seaman and Luc McNally. The liner notes say that it was "found in an old collection of pipe music" - the setting is most like the one in David Glen’s Edinburgh Collection (c1903), so that’s probably Eddie’s source.
It has relatives: "Mrs Wemyss of Cuttle Hill" (claimed by Nathaniel Gow), "St Patrick was a Gentleman" (https://thesession.org/tunes/2116) and "Denis Doody’s Polka" (https://thesession.org/tunes/1338).
