I was playing in a band last weekend at the Pofrt Fairy Folk Festival, and Paddy Fitzgerald sand this song which has a beautiful air. I originally learnt this tune from old Tim Whelan when I first took up the whistle in the mid 1970s. It’s a tune well worth playing, or a song worth singing.
