Re: The Grinder

That’s #700 for me! Unfortunately I think I’m pushing other tunes out me head at this point…🙂

Re: The Grinder

It says that the youtube video isn’t available. Is just for me? Is there anywhere else I could find a live recording of this tune?

Re: The Grinder

I can’t guarantee that it’s the same tune, but according to the link to “recordings of a tune by this name”, it’s available through “iTunes” , played by either “The Battlefield Band” or Richard Thompson, but unfortunately not Kevin MacLeod.
The video is “not available” to me either.

Re: The Grinder

Almost the same name, but tune doesn’t sound the same.

Re: The Grinder

After playing/listening to all the settings here: https://thesession.org/tunes/6360, yes this is just another setting of the Grinders - OK It would be nice to fold it into that and lose this one - how to do that? Also, It would be nice if the link in https://thesession.org/recordings/998 could still point to this setting which is derived from and quite close to it.

The Grinder, X:2

Bit of a chameleon, this tune; lots of different ways of it out there. It’s also common in 12/8, which is exactly the same as my setting here, with the crotchet/quaver at the end of each bar becoming two dotted crotchets.
