Are you sure that this is a waltz? The tune is written out in common time and not 3/4.

Haha, I’m pretty sure this is based off of “Le Petit Chien” Waltz written by Chopin for piano, which could be why it’s labeled as a waltz even if it isn’t really anymore. The actual waltz has a bunch of weird note clusters typical of Chopin, which would make it nearly impossible to transcribe into an Irish tune and still have it be a waltz. Take this with a grain of salt though, the resemblance is so vague I can’t really be sure they’re related.

Hello. This is a schottische, not a waltz, and the time signature is 4/4 rather than 3/4. You have actually got 4 beats in each bar.
