Lucky In Love

Requested by "Lion". This tune was made famous by John McKenna, who paired it with "The Bloom Of Youth". The two reels are still played together, and have been recorded as a set by flute players Mick Woods, and Patsy Hanly. Also recorded by Mary Bergin, Michael Flatley, Sarah Jane Woods, Charlie Lennon,Mick O’Connor & Seamus MacMathuna. you can see it’s a favourite with flute players. Planxty recorded "Bloom Of Youth" and listed it as an unusual version of "Lucky In Love". I think they got it wrong on that occasion. (before anyone points it out).

Lucky In Love, X:2

This is (banjo) Gerry O’Connor’s setting from the book 50 solos for Irish tenor banjo, where it is called "Moloney’s Reel".
