"Johnny O’Leary , the famous Sliabh Luachra box player is the source of this three tunes"
I’m not expert in sessions, but seems to me that the musicians play at the sessions many reels and jigs, and no slides and polkas.
Don’t forget to play at your next session a set of slide!
The music from Sliabh Luachra is beautiful!
you’re right gian slides and polkas certainly are underplayed.
This is a barndance….
Although this is called "Thadelo’s" in the book ‘Johnny O’Leary of Sliabh Luachra’, on the album ‘Music for the Set" it’s called "Tarrant’s".
This is a pipe version of Thadelo’s, transcribed from Dosca’s debut album Meridian.
It’s the last tune on the track Rosebank.
